Course Title:  Intermediate Algebra

1996-1998 General Catalog Course Description:  A Prep course in
intermediate algebra to prepare students for Math 191 (college
algebra).  Topics include integral and rational exponents, radicals,
polynomials, rational expressions, linear and quadratic equations,
inequalities, graphing linear equations, systems of linear equations,
and geometry.  Linear and quadratic word problems are solved to help
develop critical thinking skills.  Calculator skills are developed
and used throughout the course of instruction.  Laboratory required.
