Course Title:  Beginning Algebra

1996-1998 General Catalog Course Description:  A Prep course in
beginning algebra to prepare students for Math 099 (intermediate
algebra).  Topics include the real number system, integral exponents,
radicals, polynomials, algebraic fractions, linear equations, linear
inequalities, graphing linear equations, and geometry.  Linear word
problems are solved to help develop critical thinking skills.
Calculator skills are developed and used throughout the course of
instruction.  Laboratory required.
