Course Title:  Pre-College Algebra

Fall 1999 Course Description:  This course is designed to be a bridge
between Learning Support/Developmental Studies and college-level
mathematics.  It is divided into two components.  Component one
includes self-paced instruction on selected topics as determined by
results from a diagnostic assessment instrument covering topics from
Math 0097 and Math 0098.  Component two introduces new topics
including graphing calculator usage, concepts of functions and their
graphs, equations and graphs of circles and parabolas, solving
systems of equations in two variables, rational inequalities,
polynomial inequalities, and absolute value inequalities.
